Job Description
The head bartender will greet customers, learn about their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. The head bartender is also responsible of overseeing the other bartenders' performance and schedules, ensuring a smooth cooperation between them. Furthermore, (s)he is responsible for upselling items, creating recipes, advising the bartenders of the utilization of the proper equipment and ingredients on the recipes to be reproduced. (S)he needs to ensure that (s)he and his/hers direct reports follow the safety company’s procedures as well as ways of working.

Responsibilities:
- Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
- Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials; according to their preferences and protecting them from any allergies that they may have
- Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
- Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol and ensuring that the direct reports of him/her also do
- Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
- Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations, ensuring that his/hers direct team follows the same logic
- Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment; cascading the same culture to his/hers direct reports.
- Consistently offer a professional, friendly and engaging service to the clients addressing their needs, as occur
- Have a passion for wines and spirits; as well as knowledge transfer to his direct reports this passion as to serve clients
- Supervise the bar service to offer a high quality, efficient beverage service that adds to a superior guest experience and is in accordance with licensing regulations associated with alcoholic beverages
- Communicate with the kitchen and the guests alike ensuring a smooth and memorable experience
- Leading the Bar team on day to day duties supporting the wider F&B Management team with daily operational tasks
- Perform any other duties as required by the direct manager
Mandatory Requirements:
- Turkish national
- Excellent communication and organizational skills (local language and English)
- Proven working experience as a Head Bartender for minimum 2 years in 5* Hotels or High-End Restaurants
- Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail, and a sense-of-urgency
- Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Previous point of sale system experience
Additional Requirements:
- Additional knowledge of languages will be considered as a plus
- Experience outside Bodrum will be considered as a plus
